My second most favorite holiday is almost here! Resurrection Day! Aka Easter ;). Next to Christmas, Easter is the next most exciting holiday that I look forward to celebrating every year. As the kids get older, I like to include more interactive ways to celebrate holidays with them, and this Easter scavenger hunt does NOT disappoint! We’ve always given Easter baskets to the kids as a part of our Easter weekend fun, but more recently we turned it into an Easter basket scavenger hunt. Since they have so much fun hunting for Easter eggs, I figured why not incorporate a little more hunting into our Easter basket fun?! It’s quite entertaining for adults as well…watching them work together to decipher the clues and the anticipation it builds is almost unbearable!
If Easter baskets aren’t your thing, it’s still a fun activity to include in your Easter traditions! All of the clues are neutral so you could literally hide anything for them to find at then end of the hunt and the excitement and anticipation would be all the same. One year, we used this activity to reveal to the kids that we were going on our first plane ride vacation! It was a big deal for us as a family so I want to draw out the excitement and build the hype as much as possible :).
Below is a link to download and print a free copy our Easter Scavenger Hunt activity! It includes 13 clue cards, directions for set up, and 2 final clue cards options which will lead to the ultimate Easter surprise! This game is easily adaptable to any prize or gift, not just Easter baskets. Just click the image below for access to the file.
